Responsibilities


JOB SUMMARY / PURPOSE

Within the auspices of the CHI mission and values, the Center for Clinical Practice (CFCP) supports nursing and clinical strategy, excellence, and value across the continuum of care. This position is responsible for administrative, operational, and strategic functions for the CHI Health division related to nursing and clinical outcomes.



ESSENTIAL KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages Centralized and Decentralized clinical onboarding and ongoing education.
  • Oversees strategic and operational work of clinical education and nursing practice.
  • Actively participates and supports development of departmental budget and demonstrates effective stewardship to budget.
  • Supports and collaborates on system quality and safety initiatives.
  • Complies with internal and external regulations and policies and procedures.
  • Identifies areas of non-compliance and assists in resolution.
  • Supports and demonstrates leadership in achieving strategic goals.
  • Assumes responsibility for personal and professional growth through participation in meetings, professional organizations, in service programs, and continuing education programs.
  • Communicates the work of the CFCP with VPs across the division to insure timely attention to important initiatives and issues.
  • Support academic mission through oversight of clinical student placements and relationships with partnering colleges throughout the division.
  • Effectively leads and mentors team of nursing and project professionals.
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications
  • Minimum Master's or Doctorate Degree in Nursing or related healthcare field.
  • A current license as RN in Nebraska or multi-state compact license; AHA BLS required
  • Must possess strong knowledge/application of systems framework; strategic and analytical thinking skills; demonstrated resource, management and stewardship skills, team orientation and strong customer-focus; demonstrated ability to lead/implement change activities; and excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the principles, practices, standards, techniques, protocols and tools/equipment relating to clinical education and nursing practice in a healthcare environment.
  • Ability to plan, direct and evaluate the work of subordinate management staff, and to oversee the activities of managers with a matrixed relationship.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations as required by the duties of the position.
  • Must possess exceptional networking and influential skills.
