Project Manager Job Description:
This is a critical support position for a busy utility construction company operating throughout New Mexico. As the Project Manager, daily work will involve scheduling work for underground telecommunication services including client job packet preparation, calling in locates, submitting permits and overseeing the construction crew?s productivity to ensure deadlines are being met.
Project Manager Responsibilities/Duties:
- Review client contracts for the scope of work such as contract sum, preparing and tracking submittal packages, labor relations and insurance requirements.
- Review and approve subcontractor and vendor invoicing and preparing client applications for payment and invoices.
- Manage project changes, scheduling, billing, RFI?s, and construction costs.
- Conduct job site visits and attend client and subcontractor meetings.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with clients in a new business development capacity.

Our Company:
We have been in business in New Mexico for nearly 30 years. We perform work for a variety of communications, power, and fiber optic and data/cell providers. We have 7 offices throughout New Mexico and an office in El Paso, TX.
Job Type: Full-time
Hours: This is salaried position. Work schedule is subject to business needs.
Pay: Based on Experience. Paid Bi-weekly. Salaried.
Job Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in a project management role
- 5 plus years of experience in the construction, underground or telecom industry
- Detailed knowledge of safety standards and practices
- Strong critical thinking, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to perform well in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
- Excellent computer navigation skills including MS Office Suite, Project Management software and Civil 2D drawings
- Must be able to perform basic administrative skills including processing timesheets, permits, utility locating, familiarity with job prints, creating and maintaining job files, submitting billing, and purchasing support paperwork.
- Excellent organizational skills
