Hotel Assistant Manager @ Motel 6 Full-time

Overview:
The Hotel Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting the Hotel Manager in all aspects of the motel operation. Responsibilities:
  • Assist Manager to oversee and work in all departments each week and have a complete understanding of all job duties.
  • Support follow-up and implementation of company training procedures and customer service goals.
  • Work collectively with the Manager to ensure that the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of the complex meets company and franchise standards and is in proper working order inside and outside.
  • Ensure that staff is in proper uniform and neat in appearance.
  • Assist Manager to ensure that employee performance and wage reviews are completed in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate and facilitate cooperation, teamwork, and high morale of staff.
  • Assist Manager to enforce and practice all company safety procedures to ensure a safe environment for employees and customers.
  • In the absence of the Manager, attend management meetings and report back to the Manager.
  • Assist Manager with staff issues as needed.
  • Praise and reprimand staff in the absence of the manager.
  • Support front office duties and resolve problems as needed. Report all concerns to the Manager.
  • Greet and register guests.
  • Collect payment and record money earned and spent.
  • Assist the Manager to answer questions about motel policies and services, along with customer complaints.
  • Assist the Manager to purchase supplies and services as needed.
  • In the absence of the Manager, assign duties to staff and schedule shifts.
  • Attend monthly employee meetings.
  • Covers shifts as needed.
  • Attend and complete any required brand standard training.
  • Providing friendly and competent customer service.
  • Reporting for work in a timely manner when scheduled with regular and consistent attendance.

Additional Job Duties:
  • Assisting in other duties, as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Directly supervises 5 or more employees.
Qualifications: Education and/or Experience (include certs or licenses needed):
  • One to three years motel experience preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Display use of good judgment and demonstrate leadership capabilities.
  • Must have basic computer skills.
  • Current valid driver's license and be insurable to drive.
  • Must be able to work 40 hours a week.
  • Must have reliable transportation and phone.
  • Must be available to work holidays, weekends, or any shift needed.
  • Must be able to communicate in English. ? IF APPLICABLE
  • Able and willing to deliver friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service.
  • Able and willing to work cooperatively with other team members.
