QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum high school diploma
Two years academic college or business school training preferred
Minimum of three years secretarial or office management experience
Proficiency in typing (40 wpm), filing, word processing, (Microsoft Word or equivalent) and spreadsheet (Excel or equivalent)
Ability to handle multiple office assignments
Superior public relations skills
Loyalty and discretion
Proficiency in oral and written communication skills
Proficient in the use of voicemail and e mail
Ability to work well under pressure

JOB SUMMARY:
To insure the smooth and efficient daily operations of the department
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Performs the usual office routines and practices associated with a productive and smoothly run office.
Maintains a filing system, which is pertinent to the specific department.
Creates and reviews documents of various types, including correspondence, memos, reports, and spreadsheets.
Obtains, gathers, and organizes pertinent data, as needed, and puts into a usable form.
Processes all incoming correspondence and telephone calls as instructed by supervisor and determines priority items which require the personal and immediate attention of the administrative head of the department.
Completes work within a time frame appropriate for the efficient operation of the department.
Performs job responsibilities with direct supervision.
Maintains and updates all required personnel information in MSIS.
Works with the Student Data on MSIS reporting.
Keeps abreast of all methods and procedures as they pertain to the functioning of the department.
Exhibits professionalism in all on-the-job interactions.
Follows district?s overtime policy and fixed asset procedures at all times.
Performs other related duties as requested or assigned.
Assists in the fostering and promotion of a positive school/office climate.
Maintains a professional demeanor during all interactions between colleagues, parents, students and administration.

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board?s policy on evaluation of personnel.
