Brown & Brown Insurance of Colorado is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its growing team in Ft. Collins!

WHAT YOU?LL DO:
- Transact, review, reconcile, and resolve issues related to account payables/receivables
- Maintain and reconcile agency bank accounts
- Reconcile Balance Sheet Accounts
- Communicate potential bad debt items to all staff, write off bad debt at month end
- Follow up on outstanding items over 59 days
- Maintain general ledger and resulting managerial reports and financial statements
- Generate reports and statistics reflecting financial performance, profits, cash balances, or other financial results
- Foster and seek relationships with teammates across all levels of Brown & Brown
- Ensure compliance with government agencies and corporate policies and procedures
- Attend training sessions, courses, etc. to maintain up-to-date skills
- Always conduct the highest level of confidentiality
- Other duties as needed
WHAT YOU?LL NEED:
- Bachelor?s Degree (BA/BS) in Accounting
- 1-2 years of related work experience
- Ability to utilize Agency Management System in all aspects of the position
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
- Ability to read, write, and speak in English
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
