Housing Rehabilitation Case Manager
Community Grants, Planning, & Housing (CGP&H), a Community Development consulting firm, is an established leader in in all aspects of affordable housing administration including government-funded home rehabilitation programs. We are seeking a full-time Housing Rehabilitation Case Manager to assume responsibility for a caseload of properties and individuals participating in municipal and/or county-wide home improvement programs.

  • A confident communicator with experience in determining eligibility for public programs who can effectively communicate with the other housing rehab department team members, contractors, municipal officials, and program participants
  • A detail-oriented multi-tasker who can process important documentation like loan closing documents
  • A dedicated and reliable achiever who takes ownership of responsibilities and can meet high expectations

What the Housing Rehabilitation Case Manager would do:
Case management of multiple housing rehabilitation programs which would include but not limited to:

  • Preliminary applicant intake and maintaining programs applicant pools wait lists.
  • Income-certifying program applicants.
  • Placing construction work out to bid and distributing bid packages
  • Preparing loan closing documents.
  • Assisting our Program inspectors address issues that may arise during construction
  • Process contractor payment requests and municipal payments
  • Maintaining organized case files
  • Communication with homeowners, contractors and government representatives
  • Assist with other duties as needed including program marketing, reporting and problem solving

What our expectations are for the ideal candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or a 2-year Associates degree with relevant experience
  • Prior experience income-qualifying applicants for government programs
  • Prior experience in real estate sales or rental, loan processing, implementing grant programs, banking, or construction
  • Sound judgement and sensitivity to the special circumstances of homeowners who qualify for our programs
  • Strong attention to detail, well organized, and able to multi-task
  • Excellent computer skills including Word, Mail Merge, Outlook, Access and Excel
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision and in a team environment
  • Able to reprioritize tasks when need arises

Other experience that would make you great at this job (but not required):

  • Bi-lingual Spanish communication and translation skills
  • Experience with Salesforce software
  • Experience with HUD housing programs
  • Affordable Housing Professionals of NJ (AHPNJ) Certification
  • Experience with cloud-based software like Salesforce
