Staff Accountant Full-time

Job Description:

Due to our growth, we are now seeking an experienced person for a newly created Accounting position. In this role, you will report to the Accounting Manager, and you will reconcile multiple balance sheet accounts for multiple companies, prepare net profit tax returns, sales tax returns, and other state and municipal returns as required.

You will also assist with the preparation of monthly financial reports for multiple companies. Duties will also include working with other departments when necessary, establishing and maintaining effective and cooperative working relationships with coworkers, clients, and vendors, and assisting with other accounting projects as needed.

This position is designed to be our QuickBooks Expert and will be responsible for various duties within the company including, but not limited to: documentation of QuickBooks processes and migration from desktop (Enterprise) to online, training employees on QuickBooks (emphasis on the invoicing function), and investigating productivity and efficiencies (ex. Bank feeds) and determine methods of improvement.

Your background should include 2-5 years accounting or bookkeeping experience, experience with QuickBooks (certification helpful), a proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, and a commitment to customer service. In addition, you must have the abilities to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities and handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner, as well as a strong attention to detail, a goal orientation, and excellent written and verbal communication abilities. A Bachelor?s degree is required.
