Facility Description: Los Alamitos Surgery Center is a 3 Operating Room multi-specialty surgery center, located in Los Alamitos, in Orange County,CA. The facility has been in operation for over 15 years. This facility is owned and operated by physician partners and not by a large corporation/hospital chain. The work culture is friendly, dedicated and fraternal. The specialties are primarily Orthopedics, Podiatry, Plastics, Pain Management, ENT, General Surgery and Urology.

Position Description: Clinical Center Manager serves as the leader of the center. As such, they will have full accountability for clinical quality, business and strategic planning, financial results, personnel recruitment, development and oversight, operational effectiveness, facility management and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Clinical Center Manager is responsible for managing all day to day business and clinical operations of the Center;
  • Leading a team of clinical and business professionals to achieve outstanding clinical results, physician, patient and teammate satisfaction with the center?s services and financial performance;
  • Working in collaboration with the Medical Director and surgeon partners to develop and maintain effective strategic, programmatic, and marketing plans to grow and maximize center outcomes;
  • Provides on-site support and direction to assure appropriate scheduling of employees and patients, and oversees that procedures are followed for, medical record documentation, billing, and collections. Serves as day-to-day manager of all clinical, financial and administrative staff:
  • Managing the center?s financial results, including a multi-million-dollar P&L, financial controls, reporting and analysis;
  • Ensuring quality outcomes, labor efficiencies, supply chain management, volume growth, revenue cycle optimization and regulatory accreditation/compliance;
  • Overseeing the center?s physical assets, including the building and equipment, in compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
  • Qualifications:
  • Good communication skills with General partner and staff are essential as are flexibility, trustworthiness and the ability to delegate and manage staff responsibilities.
  • The Clincial Center Manager must demonstrate strong leadership qualities as well as organizational and clinical knowledge. Confidence, fortitude and problem solving are essential attributes.
  • Preferably 3 years of experience as an administrator in outpatient surgery setting OR management or some similar position with progressively responsible financial, personnel, operations management experience in a health care setting is desirable. If candidate has strong qualifications in other areas but lacks practical Ambulatory Surgery Center experience we may consider.
  • Prior experience demonstrating a high-level ability to effectively manage and allocate organizational resources is required.
  • Operational management experience such as budgeting, financial management, clinical services management, credentialing, accreditation, or similar required.
  • Demonstrate leadership ability, entrepreneurial, project follow through, effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and proven ability to interact well with physicians and surgeons is required.
  • The ability to multitask, prioritize, function efficiently and responsibly in emergency situations is required.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, CMS, AAAHC regulatory requirements for ambulatory care required.
