This is an exciting time for Tris as we build and expand our Commercial team in support of our ADHD product portfolio.


We are seeking a Training and Development professional to be responsible for developing and implementing a best in class Training Capability for the Sales Team and strategically aligning training strategies and content to support organizational goals. The incumbent serves as the lead point-person and training Subject Matter Expert (SME) for both the field sales force and assigned secondary customers (i.e., Brand and Marketing Teams, etc.) She/he collaborates closely with internal and external business partners to ensure and define a strategic vision/plan for Commercial training and development.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Responsible for the development, assessment, implementation and evaluation of product and brand related sales training tools, workshops, one-on-one sessions and group presentations for new and existing company products in order to establish a best in class Training Capability for the Commercial Sales Team

  • Facilitates and conducts training curricula, workshops and presentations for all brand outreach initiatives including, but not limited to: Product Launches, New Hire Training, Plan of Action (POA) Meetings, One-on-Ones and Group Presentations, etc.; Collaborates closely with sales management to play a proactive role in the mentoring, coaching and development of sales representatives, as needed

  • Evaluates current materials and refines, as needed, to ensure compliance with, among others, label updates and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations; Oversees training material and curriculum development that enhances representative skill building and supports brand strategy

  • Liaises with field sales management, commercial management and other internal departments (i.e., Marketing, Medical, Regulatory Affairs, Legal, Managed Care, etc. ) to periodically assess field training needs; Stays current on the latest clinical information related to company therapeutic areas and competitive products, legal, managed care and regulatory requirements, etc.

  • Collaborates closely with external vendors, as appropriate, to identify programs and resources to meet/exceed sales training objectives; Manages and oversees vendors and projects to meet/exceed project and learning goals and to optimize timing and budgetary requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:


Bachelors degree AND minimum 7 years sales experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry (minimum 2 years in a pharmaceutical Sales Training or a Regional Training position).


  • Excellent presentation skills and a proven track record of delivering successful pharmaceutical sales training and presentations REQUIRED
  • Ability to influence without direct authority REQUIRED
  • Pharmaceutical sales management experience PREFERRED
  • Experience working in a start-up pharmaceutical environment PREFERRED
