SEO Lead


SCI is seeking a creative, energetic, savvy SEO expert to join our team.

As our SEO Lead, you are responsible for leading our rankings strategy and execution and working with our social media & content lead to increase brand awareness, grow our traffic from organic search in order to increase our brand awareness and grow our student pipeline to our 7 campuses and online.

Responsibilities include:

  • Analyze our current situation and present a short, medium and long-term strategy;
  • Implement it – work with our internal team and freelancers as needed to meet the plan’s objective and deadlines;
  • Mine data. Understand our audiences. Adjust keyword/keyphrase strategies for each program based on analytics and the admission’s team feedback/data;
  • Measure progress regularly and report back on the results;
  • Monitor competitors and industry opportunities/trends;
  • Engage our internal teams as needed;
  • Helps us attract and match students to the best program;
  • Helps us leverage our content to gain quality traffic;
  • Help others with little to no SEO experience and be able to deliver the training needed based on their position/role;
  • Use the latest software/websites to help accelerate our SEO strategy and execution.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Position Requirements

Successful candidates will have:


Educational/Experience (required):

  • Proven track record of moving keywords to the top of page 1 in competitive landscapes;
  • Minimum 5 years of SEO;
  • College degree or related field or additional working experience;
  • Passion for everything linked to rankings including coding, social media;
  • Ability to gracefully shift priorities and be able to handle change;
  • Resourceful, go-getter and continuously striving to better our positions not only on SE but also on Youtube and other important channels;
  • Able to work collaboratively as a member of a team and as an individual contributor;
  • Experience working with WordPress;
  • Experience with video optimization.


Educational/Experience (optional/preferred):

  • Experience with Google Local Listings and Yelp;
  • Experience with crisis management;
  • Experience managing others and/or vendors-freelancers as needed.
