Job Family Summary


The Enterprise Learning team is responsible for creating, implementing, and managing enterprise-wide Learning processes and programs. The team informs and leads the enterprise in all aspects of Learning processes, policies, communications and technology/systems. Through collaboration and consulting with business clients, HR Business Partners, and other HR resources, the Enterprise Learning Team is responsible for identifying, developing and implementing strategic enterprise learning solutions that are aligned with business unit strategies and enterprise-wide talent objectives.

Job Description


This Senior Manager role leads teams of learning program consultants to design, develop and measure Enterprise Learning Programs. This is accomplished through strong needs analysis and project management to:

  • Identify business objectives
  • Derive learning objectives
  • Design and Develop learning solutions
  • Measure the success of the program against the business and learning objectives

Because of the work, this role requires creativity and flexibility as it will work with a variety of Subject Matter Experts and develop solutions for varied audiences. Ultimately, this role will transform business requests into efficient, effective, consistent and scalable learning solutions for Allstate AORs and Businesses.

Key Responsibilities


  • Experience in organizing, integrating and communicating high impact programs, using a variety of innovative solutions
  • Involved in sourcing, negotiating and managing relationships with third party vendors
  • Navigating large scale change initiatives
  • Great at conceiving and building a compelling proposal, pitching that to a project owner, and gaining buy-in from key stakeholders
  • Managing teams to deliver complex solutions
  • Proven leadership experience, including but not limited to, making employment decisions regarding hiring, promoting, demoting and terminating, conducting performance discussions, employee relations, and coaching and developing associates



Job Qualifications


  • Utilization of traditional and progressive Adult Learning Theory and Methodology
  • Experience in designing, developing and implementing high impact solutions, using a variety of innovative solutions
  • Ability to read, interpret and synthesize learning data to provide insight and guide strategy
  • Building and testing items in an iterative, agile environment
  • Great at conceiving and building a compelling proposal, pitching that to a project owner, then leading that project through design and delivery
  • Managing project teams to deliver complex solutions
  • Proven leadership experience, including but not limited to, making employment decisions regarding hiring, promoting, demoting and terminating, conducting performance discussions, employee relations, and coaching and developing associates
  • Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree required, Graduate degree in Business, Education, Instructional Design or Instructional Technology preferred
  • 10+ years of related experience; design, development and implementation of learning solutions experience preferred
  • Experience building and managing high performance teams, attracting top talent and driving succession plans; strong coaching and mentoring skills
  • Ability to think from both a strategic and tactical perspective; strong problem solving and analytical skills with ability to conceptualize new ideas
  • Experience serving as a consultant/advisor in analyzing client needs; setting and managing expectations and influencing decisions. Experience collaborating with people at all levels of an organization
  • Strong project management skills including the ability to document and communicate project plans, monitor work in progress, and achieve project milestones/end results for others to understand.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. Solid influencing, negotiation and facilitation skills with the ability to foster and maintain collaborative relationships with clients, peers, subordinates and other key stakeholders
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and knowledge of Learning Technology platforms
