Member Services Representative - Health Plan Full-time

Open Position:
A fast growing and mission driven healthcare system is seeking motivated healthcare professionals for career advancement opportunities. Candidate would be responsible for answering incoming calls from Members and Providers while ensuring high level of customer service and maximizing productivity with minimal down time. Candidate will also resolve basic types of customer service inquiries and perform routine duties including: healthcare benefits, eligibility, member material requests, provider look-up, and authorization calls and claims status. Prior member services experience is preferred.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage patient insurance plans from maintaining records to resolving discrepancies

Provide market information, certificates and additional identification cards

Review premium payments and applications for accuracy

Handle all financial aspects of accounts: premium payments, credit card payments, lock box downloads, direct deposit, and balancing of general daily deposits

Manage individual situations for patients such as managed care emergency out-of-area refunds; patient move requests; benefit reversals and managed care group processing

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1-3 years’ prior insurance, healthcare or customer service experience(medical) required

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience with Microsoft Office skills

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Seasoned customer service skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; and practical math applications

Conceptual thinking with ability to work independently as needed

Strong telephonic skills
