We are a global investment consulting practice providing advice to institutional investors (primarily defined benefits and defined contribution plans) in the areas of asset allocation, investment policy, investment manager evaluation and research, investment performance evaluation and miscellaneous investment research.

The Role

Explore an opportunity . As an Investment Intern, you will work with analysts and consultants to provide first class advice to a range of clients on a range of services which include: strategic setting of investment objectives, strategic asset allocation, investment management structures, manager selection, performance measurement and evaluation, investment manager monitoring, custodian selection, transition advice, statements of investment policy and global research services. The internship program will be designed to provide a broad understanding of investment concepts and industry trends.

Performance Objectives :
Excellence

  • Assist client teams with production of quarterly performance evaluation reports for delivery to clients
  • Evaluate and analyze investment performance and portfolio characteristics and help facilitate the production of monthly performance updates
  • Assist with with preparation of asset allocation and asset/liability studies
  • Help draft investment policies
  • Assist with preparing investment manager searches and evaluation reports
  • Support team members in the construction and delivery of presentations to clients
  • Gather prospective client data and assist with development of analytics
People

  • Build strong relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrate natural ease and effectiveness when dealing with and supporting colleagues at all levels
  • Gain an understanding of and familiarity with the Willis Towers Watson culture and brand
Clients

  • Support dedicated client teams in providing a variety of services to designated clients
  • Interact with consultants and analysts in order to iteratively provide suitable solutions in a timely manner
  • Liaise with members of the wider investment team and Benefits practice in order to gain the necessary data and understanding of the client’s needs
The Requirements

Progress towards undergraduate degree with demonstrated interest in investment management or investment consulting full time work experience. Preference for rising Senior candidate.

Interest in and understanding of financial markets and institutional investing

Excellent oral and written communication skills, including an exceptional focus on attention to detail

Comfortable and successful in a team environment; able to work seamlessly on teams of senior and more junior colleagues

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite

Inquiring and analytically minded with a logical and thorough work ethic
