Catering Coordinator Full-time

Catering Coordinator

In this role you will be responsible for executing, booking, organizing, servicing, and running catered events. You will perform local catering deliveries and dispatches catering delivery drivers and achieve budgeted revenue goals.

We want you to maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction and on relationship management while building partnerships within the community. You will be focused on daily sales efforts to increase revenue for Catering.

Duties Include:
Works directly with General Manager (GM) to determine sales road map and sales goals with guidance of the catering sales team

Ensures all catering orders are complete and catering checklist/order verification forms are utilized

Collaborates with GM to discuss daily, weekly, monthly sales goals and sales opportunities

Acts as a mentor/trainer for Team Members training on catering operations

Assigns, dispatches and coordinates delivery drivers for each order

Acts as a delivery driver and follows all expectations of the delivery driver position

Makes confirmation calls on all catering orders to ensure accuracy and capture opportunities to increase the average catering Guest check

Performs follow-up calls, sends thank you notes and other means of Guest communication on all catering orders to retain current catering Guests

Handles and resolves catering Guest complaints

Develops catering client database and maintains relationships to build large party and catering sales.

Works collaboratively with the catering sales team to establish sales targets for catering.

Conduct regular marketing activities including cold-calling (in person and over the phone), canvassing and table touches.

Ensures Guest satisfaction and maintains Guest relationships with consistent follow up on service and sales.

Attends community events with catering sales managers to promote brand awareness for catering in the community.

Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age

Must be able to effectively and concisely communicate, read and write the English language fluently and clearly.

High School degree or equivalent preferred

Have a valid state driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record absent restrictions that do not pose safety risks given the essential job functions

Have a reliable vehicle and proof of auto insurance

Energetic, friendly attitude and exceptional guest service skills required

Must be able to perform basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)

Must demonstrate cash management skills

Previous delivery experience preferred

May experience sudden changes in temperature in work area and while driving or outside making deliveries

Exposed to gluten products and other allergens

Ability to accept responsibility and be accountable for decisions and actions.

Has strong knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant.

Relies on experience and judgment to make effective decisions.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Exhibits teamwork at all times.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent organization and problem solving skills.

Ability to handle cash accurately.
