POSITION DESCRIPTION

JOB DESCRIPTION: Kitchen Services Coordinator

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Program Director

POSITION SUPERVISED: None or TBD

QUALIFICATIONS/CREDIENTIALS :

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Current ServSafe certification or equivalent
  • Two years of commercial kitchen experience
  • Any required local or state food handling/sanitation licenses and/or certifications
  • Flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed

BASIC FUNCTION:

The kitchen services coordinator plays a key role in our kitchen by keeping inventory of all food, controlling food cost, and preparing meals.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Plan, direct and coordinate all activities of the kitchen services department
  • Oversee food production to ensure all meals are prepared/served according to nutritional requirements and company standards
  • Ensure safety and sanitation practices
  • Determine quality and quantity of food required
  • Prepare cleaning and production worksheets
  • Develop and direct cost control systems, including preparing and submitting department budget to community management
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Manage and properly report inventories of food and beverage

  • Performs other duties of the position and within the individual’s capabilities as assigned by his/her supervisor.
