What You?ll Get to Do:


CACI is hiring an Interface Lead to join our growing Financial Management Business Transformation (FMBT) Interface and Data Conversion Team supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The team will be supporting the implementation of financial system interfaces and migration of data from legacy systems to Momentum Financials (a COTS product) across the VA for the next 6 years.

Applicants must possess a Bachelors degree or equivalent and 12 years of relevant work experience. Responsibilities include leading large-scale interface development, managing a team of interface developers, overseeing interface development tasks and milestones, and working with team members to troubleshoot or research issues. We are looking for candidates with strong leadership, development, and problem-solving skills and a desire to enhance those skills in a challenging, high visibility environment. The candidates will work with a team of functional and technical staff members and will have the opportunity to learn various technical development and testing tools. Due to contract requirements, US citizenship is required.


More About the Role:

  • Responsible for the successful delivery of interfaces for each implementation wave.
  • Manage the team responsible for the analysis, design, development, and testing of the required interfaces.
  • Manage the interface development process using the program?s Agile Framework.
  • Work closely with the COTS configuration team to ensure that interfaces are compatible with the system configuration. Ensure that the configuration team is aware of configuration requirements needed during the interface design process.
  • Work with interface analysts and users to define existing or new interface requirements.
  • Collaborate with functional and lead technical staff to design, construct, and maintain web service interfaces using Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform and Red Hat Fuse technologies.
  • Lead development of technical documents, including software implementation guides and design documentation including Interface Control Documents (ICD?s). Work with analysts to ensure software components are properly documented for system users.
  • Perform unit testing and provide support to functional analysts during system testing.
  • Manage the installation of software components in the acceptance testing and production environments.
  • Implement quality assurance standards and processes for validation and verification efforts. Implement software development best practices. Seek out and implement process improvement initiatives.

You?ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Bachelor?s Degree in a related field and 12 years of relevant experience. Additional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
  • US citizenship is required.
  • Senior-level interface development skills and experience managing an interface development team.
  • Experience with DevOps or DevSecOps practices
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and with a team to solve problems.
  • Self-starter. Quick to learn and put new skills to use.
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively handle multiple and shifting priorities while meeting deadlines. Flexibility to put in hours needed to meet tight deadlines.

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have:

  • 10 years of Financial Management Systems industry experience.
  • 5 years leading interface development teams for an Enterprise Application.
  • 5 years developing interfaces on a Momentum Financials implementation effort, both batch and real-time interfaces. Technical experience working Momentum Financials and the Momentum database. Understanding of Momentum tables and relationships.
  • 2+ years of experience managing and Agile project. Experience working with the VA?s VIP process.
  • Experience implementing Momentum interfaces for Financials and Acquisitions at a Cabinet Level Agency
  • Knowledgeable of the components of the VA interface architecture, including the use of Momentum web services, Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform, and Red Hat Fuse.
  • Senior-level experience implementing system integrations within an Enterprise Service Bus, including management of web-service and file-based interactions with legacy systems.
  • Web Services development using SOAP, XML, WSDL, WS-Security, and/or JSON.
  • Experience developing and deploying services in Red Hat OpenShift or other container platforms.
  • Development experience with Java, Python, or other modern programming language.
  • Expertise in developing interfaces and/or executing large-scale data conversions.
  • Strong understanding of data reconciliation or migration across a variety of data platforms, formats and technologies.
  • Experience with Microsoft or Azure Data services, such as Power BI, Azure SQL, SSAS, Synapse, or Azure Data Factory.
  • Experience with Data Analytics or Data Cleansing tools and services.
  • SharePoint development experience.
