Bookkeeper/Accounting Assistant Full-time

Job Summary

Byrider is the nations leading sub-prime automotive franchise, operating 160 dealerships across 40 states. We are seeking an experienced bookkeeper or accountant to join our team in Wilkes Barre, PA.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Responsible for daily cash management, which includes reconciliation of the CNAC and Byrider cash reports, daily deposits, and cash clearing.
  • Complete daily account reconciliation of inventories, receivables, and other controlled accounts.
  • Reconcile Bank Statements.
  • Reconcile credit card statements
  • Assist with various accounts payable duties including reconciling vendors, managing credit lines, and vehicle inventory.
  • Process time cards and audit for accuracy and compliance with policy.
  • Update and maintain payroll related information.
  • Process supplies requests.
  • Assist in CNAC and take payments when necessary
  • Assist the Service Manager in completing a physical parts inventory and make the appropriate adjustments in Discover.
  • Mange accounts payable and service department vendors accounts

Education

A college degree is preferred, however strong industry specific experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Accounting Skills

Thorough knowledge of the principles of accounting. Knowledge of advanced accounting systems and ability to apply principles of accounting to understand and explain the interrelationship of a retail operating system to posting journal entries.

Mathematical Skills

Solid understanding of basic accounting principals and financial statements. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, Google G-Suite software, as well as experience with accounting software. Microsoft Dynamics AX or Great Plains experience is a plus.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

A current driver?s license is necessary to carry out the job requirements for this position.

Salary: $750.00 /week
