    Summary

    About the Position: This position is with the US Army Corps of Engineers, Institute for Water Resources (IWR).
    This position may be filled at any virtual duty location. The virtual duty location and salary will be determined upon the selection of the position.

    Qualifications

    If you are a current permanent Army employee, this position will be filled from employees eligible for temporary promotion or temporary reassignment. The position is temporary not to exceed one (1) year with provisions to extend in increments of up to one (1) year for a total of (5) years. This position may be converted to permanent without further competition for current Army employees.
    If you are any of the other eligibilities, this position is TERM not to exceed 13 months, with provisions to extend up to a maximum of eight years.

    In addition to meeting the education requirements for one of the above series, you must also meet the following:
    To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience which includes participate in groups and task forces with missions of national interest to federal wetland regulatory programs or to federal navigation programs or to federal recreation programs. Conduct analysis of compensatory mitigation or navigation and waterborne transportation or transportation and natural resource policy. Perform quantitative and qualitative policy analysis for compensatory mitigation or navigation or natural resources management. Strategically plan on a national scale for federal regulatory programs or federal navigation programs or federal recreation programs.
    You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

    Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
