SUMMARY:

We are a privately held, growing manufacturing company specializing in the development and production of high-performance coatings in the Coil, Aluminum Extrusion, and Specialty Coating markets. We are seeking an individual with a positive, can-do attitude to work in our Production department.

This position reports to the Production Supervisor. This position takes out all Non-Hazardous and Hazardous to their proper location, in accordance to RCRA regulations. This individual must understand the regulations for Satellite Accumulation areas and 90-day Hazardous Waste Storage pad. This individual will also assist batch operators, fillers, mill operators, and anyone else in the plant in spill cleanup. General cleanup duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Compliance to all site rules, annual refresher training, and safe job procedures
  • Production and shipping and receiving housekeeping and organization
  • Forklift operation
  • Label hazardous waste drums to RCRA standards
  • Transport hazardous waste drums to 90-Day hazardous waste storage area
  • Take non-hazardous waste to dumpster for landfill waste
  • Quarterly inventory counts
  • Notification of equipment failures to supervisors and maintenance
  • Knowledge of job includes: DOT training, RECRA, and safe fork truck operation
  • Interact with production operators as needed to achieve daily cleaning and assist with any spill clean up
  • Housekeeping, trash and waste accumulation areas maintained in compliance
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or GED equivalency

TRAINING:

Forklift operation, hazardous waste handling, DOT Hazmat general knowledge

COMPETENCIES:

Forklift operation, ability to follow instructions from supervisor
