Service scheduler/Accountant Full-time

Overview:

The Service scheduler/Accountant will supervise the day to day operations of the office and oversee/manage the service schedule. They will assist the owner, sales staff and operations/service staff to ensure that procedures and business operates smoothly. This person must demonstrate strong organizational skills, communicate well with various personality types and customers, be able to multi task and work with little supervision. Be a strong and trusted leader and lead by example as well as promote a positive team atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be proficient in QuickBooks, Google, Word and Excel
  • Manage all Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
  • Manage payroll and all HR functions of the company
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Billing and statements
  • Month end closing
  • Analyze financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Budgets)
  • Help oversee marketing activities of the company/s
  • Help answer phones
  • Work with service manager daily on scheduling jobs
  • Help with customer service
  • Open and sort mail
  • Filing
  • Tax prep for accountants
  • Other general accounting activities
  • Other special projects as requested

Qualifications:

  • Managerial experience
  • 5 plus years of accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll/HR experience
  • Detail oriented
  • Able to make decisions and think on your feet
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Numbers oriented
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Proficient in technology (email, Google, Quickbooks, Word and Excel)
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership, teamwork, flexibility and be a positive influence
  • Dependable, loyal and trustworthy
  • Scheduling experience in service industry

Job Type:

  • Full time, hourly position- Monday through Friday from 8:30-5:00 (some flexibility with hours for the right candidate)

Salary: $19.00 to $23.00 /hour

Experience:

  • Bookkeeping: 5 years (Required)
  • Hr Policies & Procedures: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Scheduling: 2 years (Preferred)
