Registered Nurse Supervisor Full-time

$25.95 - $45.15 Hourly

$53,976 - $93,918 Annually

Purpose of Position

THIS POSTING WILL BE USED TO CONDUCT ON-GOING RECRUITMENT FOR MULTIPLE POSITIONS. POSTING WILL REMAIN OPEN UNTIL ALL POSITIONS ARE FILLED.

1. Develop and implement MEP, ensure interim reviews and annual appraisals are completed as per agency policy.
2. Directs and coordinates the admissions process on a daily basis.
3. Identifies problems / concerns and initiates appropriate action as applicable

How does it get done?

Directs the management and functions of the Admissions DepartmentIn a manner that ensures quality, safety, and advocacy for the patients and staff according to agency policy and procedure; JCAHO Accreditation standards; DOH Policy and Procedure; and in accordance with good medical practice.

Who are the customers?

Staff at the New Mexico Rehabilitation Center. (NMRC)

Ideal Candidate

Know clinical and nursing standards and practices accordingly for all ages 18 to 90 plus. Strive to continue learning and be receptive to new information and methodologies. Strive to learn and incorporate management skills in performance of duties.

Minimum Qualification

Associates Degree in Nursing or graduation from a NLN accredited program accepted by the New Mexico Board of Nursing and three (3) years paid experience as a Registered Nurse. Must be licensed in accordance with the Nursing Practice Act ยง 61-3-2 through 61-3-31 NMSA 1978 and 16.12.1 through 16.12.20 NMAC, as applicable.

Employment Requirements

This position is designated as safety sensitive. Employment is subject to pre-employment and random testing, in accordance with all terms and conditions of federal and state law, rules and regulations in relation to alcohol and/or drug testing. Employment is subject to nationwide criminal background check and is conditional pending results. Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Certification from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive a Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of continued employment.

Working Conditions

This position will perform work in a hospital and office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Exposure to mentally and behaviorally challenged residents who may exhibit unpredictable and sometimes violent behaviors in volatile situations requiring crisis intervention may be required.
