Process Engineer Full-time

The Process Engineer is responsible for the Metals manufacturing processes that includes but are not limited to the following: Welding, Seaming, Stamping, Assembly, from concept through production with the responsibility of ensuring manufacturability at the lowest possible cost using current manufacturing processes.

The Process Engineer will be heavily involved in Process Improvements and will be responsible for identifying and implementing process and ergonomic improvements to improve operator safety, product quality, product cost, capacity and throughput. The Process Engineer will be responsible for improving processes in order to maintain efficiency, reduce cost, improve sustainability and maximize profitability.


  • Communicate effectively with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Customer Service, Purchasing, Planning and other cross-functional departments at all levels to support a strong teamwork environment.
  • Listen to machine operators and work with them to implement ideas that improve processes
  • Determines parts and tools needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specification.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize manufacturing operations.
  • Investigate new methods of manufacturing or technology to improve current processes, reduce scrap, increase capacity and throughput and meet long-term production goals.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and Operations Department to design, manufacture and implement new tooling, machines or technology. Assist with the installation, debugging and setup of new tooling, machines or technology.
  • Responsible for documenting and tracking continuous improvement ideas and changes to processes.
  • Perform all assignments in a timely manner and within all company policies while treating people with dignity and respect.
  • Ensures a safe clean working environment
  • Design fixtures, devices, and improvements
  • Ensures 100% conformance to Mauser Packaging Solutions Quality System in production operations
  • Leads APQP and problem-solving processes
  • ISO90001 participation
  • Strives to achieve all established company goals
  • Knowledge of CI and Six Sigma programs a plus
  • Develops and implements continuous improvement programs
  • Works positively in a team environment
  • Communicates to all levels effectively
  • Must be a logical thinker capable of making accurate and data driven decisions
  • Understands and adheres to all Mauser Packaging Solutions guidelines
  • On call when required


Bachelor?s degree in engineering or significant work experience

Computer Skills (MS Office, AutoCAD, ProE)

Strong written and verbal communication Skills

Logical hands-on problem-Solving Skills

Experience in sampling and qualifying new tools and processes

Ability to work in inch / metric

Knowledge of GD&T

Familiar with required measuring equipment IE. Micrometers, Calipers

Practical Statistics knowledge
