Financial Analyst Full-time

Scioto Properties is a rapidly expanding healthcare real estate company. Our focus is providing community-based housing solutions to providers in the intellectual development disability, traumatic brain injury, behavioral, adult day care and senior housing industries.

We are seeking a focused and diligent real-estate analyst to join our Acquisitions team. Our Senior Underwriter will be responsible for performing financial analysis, conducting due diligence, writing investment memorandums and presenting new investment opportunities. The evaluation process for new investments will include conducting market research, financial analysis using discounted cash flow models and calculating internal rates of return under different scenarios, site inspections, due diligence, and developing internal investment memos. The position supports the acquisition, finance, and operations staff in coordinating acquisition activities by performing the following key duties and responsibilities:

Critical Responsibilities:

  • Create investment models to analyze prospective investment opportunities
  • Analyze and present projected cash flows, loan alternatives, and investment return waterfalls
  • Facilitate and oversee due diligence process for potential acquisitions
  • Document analysis process
  • Coordinate and write investment reports

Our ideal candidate checks these boxes:

  • Bachelor?s degree in finance, business, economics, real estate finance or related field
  • Two+ years full-time experience in financial analysis, real estate analysis, or asset/portfolio management roles
  • Demonstrated proficiency in understanding the nuances of a varied real estate investments
  • Demonstrated research, analytical, financial and quantitative excel skills with strong financial modeling skills
  • Exhibited understanding and ability to communicate real estate analysis, including IRR, cash on cash, etc., to a non-technical audience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience in writing reports or investment memorandums preferred
  • Able to work independently across a wide variety of work streams simultaneously and willingness to wear multiple hats
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a critical thinker who can yield innovative solutions to new problems
