Director, Click and Collect Full-time

Serve in a business manager/general manager capacity for assigned line of business. Will be responsible for specific key strategic priorities of that line of business such as (but not limited to) key customer acquisition/business development, alliance management, customer retention/management, product/solution management, sales enablement, or other strategic initiatives. Will support Line of Business head by leading across functional boundaries to achieve assigned sales, revenue, and profit goals for the assigned line of business, including systems (HW/SW) and services..

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Directly develop new business relationships that result in new product placements and attached services that enable customers to achieve their defined strategies.
  • Manage assigned key customer relationships ensuring maximum customer satisfaction, financial performance, and accurate forecasting.
  • Develop key aspects of product line strategy for assigned line of business that delivers value to customers and allow Bell and Howell to effectively compete in target markets. Strategy will encompass both internally developed solutions and alliances with Affiliate solution providers.
  • Influence investment decisions via the development of supporting business cases outlining situation analyses including: strategic fit, market potential, financial, as well as challenges/risks and mitigating factors. (Includes investments in product, market research, market development and product training).
  • Develops and maintains comprehensive knowledge of market requirements, competitive strategies and offerings, new technologies and their impact on our business. Utilizes comprehensive knowledge to develop detailed business plans to manage product throughout life cycle and to develop sales product training programs and tools aimed at transferring knowledge of product performance, functionality, positioning and selling strategies.
  • Works directly with customers to leverage customer success stories through articles, videos, and speaking opportunities. Works closely with home office and regional sales management to develop and implement sales channel strategies and supports formulation of sales tactics.
  • Coordinates with Business Operations team on product pricing and packaging utilizing market research data; reviewing production and sales costs; developing and implementing value-based pricing; and developing annual product sales revenue plans. Operations, supply chain and manufacturing as well??.

Monitors department and company objectives resolves issues and inquiries in a supportive and timely manner negotiating mutually satisfactory solutions. Establishes associate account abilities, priorities and schedules.

  • May matrix or direct manage a team to achieve key assignments or deliverable's.
  • Successfully deliver on other assigned strategic priorities as assigned.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS:

? Internal: 50% Sales, Product Management, Service, Marketing, Engineering, Manufacturing, Legal, Finance, HR

? External: 50% Customers, Suppliers, OEM?s

BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS:

Education, Experience, and Knowledge

  • Bachelor's Degree in business administration, marketing or related field with 10+ years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Track record of directly supporting startup or new solution introductions including first customer wins and expanding pilots to large scale deployments.
  • Experience in managing the life cycle of a product or software product required.
  • Must be very knowledgeable in a wide range of general business disciplines.
  • Requires in-depth fundamental business development knowledge for developing sound long and short-term product strategies and business development plans.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Requires solid understanding of profit and loss statements and financial analyses
  • Must be capable of driving a cross-functional and cross facility team through the Program Life Cycle Process without having direct supervisory responsibility over all of the team members.
