Microsoft?s business runs on telemetry data we receive from our intelligent cloud and edge. Our team has the charter to deliver the core telemetry platform of choice for the company, working on data collection, control, correlation/distributed tracing, metrics, health and system intelligence capabilities. Microsoft?s customers and every part of the company depend on this team to deliver a unified telemetry platform to enable their data-led scenarios.
The Azure PIE Observability team seeks a motivated professional to drive product management for a large-scale service managing the collection of telemetry data across millions of devices and services. For this attractive opportunity, we?re looking for customer-obsessed and technology-focused individuals with a growth mindset to be part of the project?s spearhead and join a small group of developers who are building the next version of the product.



  • Own product management for Geneva telemetry pipeline with focus on ingestion
  • Be a key liaison to customers, listen to them, and drive qualitative feedback into feature design
  • Creatively resolve blocking issues while collaborating across teams
  • Gain trust of customers and stakeholders - including engineering teams, partner orgs and peers

To succeed in this role, you should have a technical background and analytical skills, with the ability to work directly with both customer and engineering teams. You should also have strong strategic thinking, with the ability to identify new ways of looking at problems and identifying opportunities. Excellent collaboration, communication and coordination skills are a must for this role. You should be a creative problem solver, and, of course, have a clear passion for customers.



  • BA/BS or MS degree in computer science, engineering or related disciplines
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in Program Management, Project Management, or similar Technical Management Role
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Technical background and solid understanding of software engineering principles
  • You must be detail oriented and able to rapidly come up to speed on complex technologies and architectures
  • Excellent cross-team collaboration skills
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
