Software Development Engineer II (Full Stack Engineer) Full-time

Over the next three years, our goal is to transform the 268 billion analogue phone calls between a brand and its consumers to digital on the LiveEngage platform. By doing this, we enable consumers to get back time and experience a more connected relationship with the brand in which sales, service, marketing, branches, stores, and contact centre's become a unified experience.
We are looking for an experienced full stack developer to join our team and help us build self-service experiences to onboard a new wave of brands. You will have the opportunity to build directly customer facing features, while also transforming internal tooling, processes, and engineering culture.
Our rapidly growing team in Seattle is laying the foundations for the future of the company, and you can be an owner in helping define what we build and how it gets built.
In this role you will:
  • Strong technical leadership, with a demonstrated history of good decisions and best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability as a self-starter/learner
  • Strong proficiency with Javascript, Typescript, Node
  • Familiar with front end fundamentals such as HTML, CSS, React, etc.
  • Experienced in designing consistent and resilient REST APIs
  • Proficient with database technologies such as MySQL and Cassandra
  • Strong, forward looking system design experience, including concepts such as serverless, microservices, tiered architecture, etc.
  • Experience with A/B testing, feature flags, and other iterative methodologies
  • Experience with testing, from unit tests to e2e
