Director Business Programs Full-time

Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers Microsoft?s cloud platforms and services that millions of people use every day. CO+I builds and operates the foundation upon which Microsoft?s mission to empower every person and organization comes to life. As a CO+I Senior Program Manager with the Cloud Infrastructure Security, Safety and Governance (CISSG) Assurance team, you will be responsible for audit coordination across numerous internal and external strategic stakeholders to deliver impact for CO+I and Microsoft.


As a successful Senior Assurance Program Manager, your performance objectives include:
  • Lead CO+I all up engagement in internal and external audits.
  • Define areas for continuous improvement and proactively engage with key stakeholders to identify trends and opportunities to share best practices
  • Engage with executive leadership to communicate program objectives, strategy, tactics, and report on ongoing progress.
  • Manage complex audit engagement remediation issues involving multiple parties/organizations with conflicting agendas and business priorities


  • Customer, Partner and Business Value: Applies a broad and deep understanding of partners and internal groups' needs, drivers, and decision-making processes. Plans, strategizes and influences priorities and decisions to improve satisfaction, performance, and the experience.
  • Partnership: Identifies and develops strategic relationships with new and existing partners or internal groups to enhance strong networks and open communications.
  • Influencing for Impact: Acts as a trusted resource and advisor to a wide network of colleagues with diverse personalities. Creates influence strategies that cross organizational boundaries to achieve broad business goals.
  • Trusted Advisor: Provides advice across multiple areas of expertise and builds broader capability. Influences leaders. Supports partners and stakeholders to resolve difficult issues. Identifies relevant issues, clarifies opinions and assumptions and drives for resolution.
Basic Qualifications:
  • At least seven years' experience managing and executing audits
  • At least five years? experience managing external certification audits.
  • At least three years? experience directly managing compliance and audit program managers and teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelors or equivalent degree qualification in Science, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain or related business areas.
  • Must be a problem solver and innovator and possess demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, excellent customer service skills, and be able to multi-task effectively and able to work in an extremely high volume, high energy environment.
  • Compliance, Risk, or Supplier management background (certification preferred)
  • Project Management skills (certification preferred)
Background Check Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
