Senior Director, IT & Enterprise Architecture Full-time

Description/Job Summary

To direct and oversee Information Technology (IT) and system architecture for the organization


  • Oversee the management of application developers, functional analysts, architects and project managers that are responsible to design, develop, test, implement and maintain in-house developed software systems
  • Oversee the gathering and assignment to appropriate Information Technology (IT) resources the functional IT requirements and issues as they relate to the Sales team including support for Oracle Order Management, Quoting, Advanced Pricing, and e-Commerce websites
  • Oversee the documentation of system architecture, operations, configurations, customizations, and interfaces in IT
  • Oversee all aspects of product Bills of Material (BOMs), change orders and product lifecycle management
  • Oversee all aspects of owner?s manuals, Illustrative Parts Breakdowns (IPBs), product labeling, and order forms and screens
  • Oversee the management, leadership, and coordination of the IT projects to ensure established milestones are accomplished on time, within budget, and in accordance with agreed upon business objectives
  • Ensure the company has a competitive advantage through digital-driven projects, superior customer experience and user interfaces that drive web properties and methods
  • Use models and architectural frameworks to identify key relationships and gaps between business objectives, processes and IT systems
  • Assist with the development of IT strategy and vision formulation, technology visioning, gap analysis, business case development, investment prioritization, and technology/investment roadmap development
  • Enable IT transformation by evaluating and improving the processes, tools and methods of the organization to adopt leading practices in the areas of leadership, governance, sourcing, measurement, and organizational structure
  • Oversee IT enablement through the optimization of or by enabling new capabilities through innovative and emerging technologies to drive digital transformation of the business
  • Document the behavior at the business layer including information flows, processes, roles and work practices that impact business objectives and capabilities
  • Document system architecture, operations, configurations, customizations, and interfaces
  • Lead IT optimization initiatives by defining business cases and plans to execute the consolidation of hardware, software, data centers and technology operations, and IT management and delivery
  • Lead meetings and present to large high-level audiences
  • Facilitate understanding, teamwork and cooperation with IT team members and the user community (customers)
  • Negotiate contracts with Oracle and other vendors as needed
  • Staff management including documenting and communicating objectives, positively impacting employee morale, motivating team members, conducting performance appraisals, and appropriately addressing individual or group performance issues
  • Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management
  • Attend the Annual C-TPAT Security Training
  • Assign, train, and develop staff based on experience and departmental goals
  • Develop goals and objectives, and measure outcomes to ensure goals are met
  • Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment
  • Develop a "Strong 2nd" for your area of responsibility
  • Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations
  • Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary

  • Creatively analyze system enhancement requests to facilitate the development of efficient and effective system design options that build upon the architectural roadmap
  • Travel up to 10% as business needs dictate

Must have:
  • Relentless drive to achieve advancement and continuous improvement
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Advanced working knowledge of Oracle Applications and Agile
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced web navigation skills

Required Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role supporting functions within Oracle Applications
  • At least 5 years of experience with managing large project teams inclusive of overseeing the management of the project scope, quality, schedule, budget, resources and risks
  • At least 5 years of experience with managing at least 5 staff members

Preferred Experience

  • At least 5 years of successful employment experience with Pride Mobility Products Corporation in a leadership role supporting functions within Oracle Applications preferred
  • At least 3 years of experience with Bills of Material (BOMs) preferred

Required Education

  • Bachelor?s Degree in an Information Technology related field, OR an Associate?s Degree in an Information Technology related field with at least 9 years of the required experience, OR High School Diploma or GED with at least 12 years of the required experience

Preferred Education

  • Master?s Degree in an Information Technology or Business related field preferred
