Customer Health Check Specialist, Renewals Full-time

Job Role and Responsibilities:

Are you passionate about customers? We are too! Within our Renewals teams, we influence systemic business improvements across VMware that improve the customer, partner, and employee experience. We are looking for a like-minded individual to join the VMware Renewals organization in a strategic individual contributor role to focus on our Customer Health Check activities.

The Customer Health Check Specialist role partners with the customer, the sales team, our Support and Service organization to drive specific actions to improve the overall customer experience ? all in the spirit of making business decisions that are in our customers? best interests. Additional job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform Anniversary Health Checks on Enterprise licenses Agreements customers. Collect direct feedback from customers, Sales team, Technical team, Customer Intelligence team and partners regarding their deployment and satisfaction status
  • Provide reports with consolidated health view of our customers
  • Establish close working relationships with individuals across all levels and effectively influencing without authority
  • Lead senior level leaders through difficult trade off discussions and creatively driving consensus
  • Breakdown complex problems in a simplified way, develop innovative solutions and find creative ways to solve customers? current and future challenges, articulate recommendations clearly and prescriptively, and effectively handle objections
  • Switch seamlessly between big picture thinking and detailed execution

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of customer success consulting and/or business transformation experience
  • Successful experience influencing senior leaders without authority
  • Skilled in telling stories behind the data resulting in action and changed behavior
  • Highly collaborative with a demonstrated ability to partner across and within teams to achieve results
  • Excellent communication skills ? both written and verbal
  • Bachelor?s degree required

This position is located in Austin, Texas.

Business Unit: Global Licensing & Renewals: License revenue makes up about one-third of VMware?s overall revenue, and our Global License Advisory, Renewals, and E-commerce team plays a vital role in its protection and growth. We ensure customers and partners use their licenses in accordance with their agreements, while supporting the company?s goal of annual double-digit license growth. Our team manages VMware?s Global Software and Subscription Renewal practice across multiple contracts worldwide, which includes finalizing renewals and finding opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling licenses. We also focus on driving net new license transactions through our 12 online web stores around the world. On our team, you?ll gain critical skills and experience by working closely with other departments ranging from Sales to Systems Engineering.
