The Contract Clerk is responsible for handling the accounting and posting for all vehicle sales, dealer trades, and wholesales. He or she is responsible for processing DMV documentation for all vehicle sales.


This position also breaks down deals and sends to the bank for funding and also performs a wide range of administrative and office support duties associated with vehicle documentation. He or she also helps with inventory tracking, record keeping and reporting as well as managing contractual documentation with numerous financial institutions.
The ideal candidate has at least one year of experience in a similar position. He or she can work in a fast-paced and challenging environment handling multiple projects and must have excellent communication, administrative, organizational, and computer skills.
He or she must be detail-oriented and good with numbers and proficient with accounting software and with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Helps with vehicle inventory control and maintains accurate records
  • Responsible for processing DMV documentation for all vehicles sales
  • Handles the accounting and posting for al vehicle sales, dealer trades and wholesales
  • Manages contractual documentation with financial instituations
  • Breaks down deals and sends to bank for funding
  • Reconciles statement and ledger and ensures payments are consistent with set schedules
  • Prints, analyzes, and distributes reports as requested by management
  • Ensures that all accounting transactions comply with financial policies and procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Dealership experience preferred
  • Reynolds and Reynolds experience a plus
  • Strong computer and internet skills
  • One year of experience in a business office environment
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and staff
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Able to deal with confidential information appropriately
  • Strong attention to detail and interest in accuracy
  • Highly professional and dependable
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
