BMT Transplant Coordinator Assistant (@ Jeanes Hospital)

- (191742) Established over 25 years ago Temple University Hospital's BMT Program (located at Jeanes Hospital) performs all the bone marrow transplants for the Temple University Health System including Fox Chase Cancer Center.
This valuable individual will assist the RN Transplant Coordinator in maintaining the timely, efficient and cost effective flow of the new patient from initial referral through inpatient admission for transplant. A key responsibility is facilitating the communication among various members of the Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) team regarding the status of the patients in the BMT Program.
Minimum qualifications required to be considered:
  • A Bachelors Degree in a Health related field of study (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
  • 3 years experience in oncology, hematology or transplant setting. Experience with patient financial clearance is especially desirable.

Typical schedule: 40 hours per week, M-F, 7:30a-4:00p. Exempt, salaried position.
The position is based on the Jeanes Hospital campus at 7600 Central Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19111.
