Job Summary

The ECC Lead sets the strategy, roadmap, and feature definition for ProjectWise, a suite of engineering project collaboration software from Bentley Systems designed for the architecture, engineering, construction (AEC) industries.

ECC Lead responsibility includes technology vision, best practice deployment, and business process support. This position will provide the deep application expertise needed to lead the organization and make strategic product decisions. They will analyze market and competitive conditions, laying out an application vision that is differentiated and delivers unique value based on customer demands. This role spans many activities from strategic to tactical and provides important cross-functional leadership ? most notably between engineering and support teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Application Lead of B&V Global ProjectWise Engineering System
    • Strategy: Responsible for setting a vision and strategy with clear articulation of the business value. Own the roadmap and prioritize what matters most to achieve strategic goals and initiatives.
    • Releases: Plan what will be delivered and the timeline for implementation. Define the release process and drive all the activities required for the release. This involves bridging gaps between different functions within the company and aligning all the teams involved.
    • Ideation: Own the creative process of generating, developing, and curating new ideas. Determine which ideas should be promoted into features to push the application strategy forward, namely those that will achieve key objectives for the business. To this end, ensure that feedback and requests are seamlessly integrated into the application planning and development processes. Communicate the status of ideas back to the customers, partners, and team members who submitted them
  • Establish and Maintain Global Enterprise Content and Collaboration Competency Practices
    • Measure: Establish a dashboard of performance metrics that matter to the health of the application and the business.
    • Vision and Strategy: Responsible for planning and technical execution throughout the product lifecycle to create improvements and competitive advantage for B&V.
    • Internal Processes: Work cross-functionally and with other teams to ensure application decisions are in alignment with the overall portfolio strategy.
    • Services Support: Work with the business to manage engineering information needs in coordination with internal staff and 3rd party provider(s).
    • Partner with the Business: Solve business problems by analyzing business needs, understanding requirements, investigating potential solutions, and ensuring the successful launch of new functionality and features.
  • Accountable for Management of 3rd Party IT Service Providers and Software License Optimization
  • Become a partner with 3rd party providers in the strategic analysis of the current environment and planning of future-state delivery practices that will capture/manage the intellectual property of B&V.

Management Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor?s or Advanced Degree(s):
    • Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Engineering Technician

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years progressive experience in IT, engineering and construction practices, and engineering applications including leading large-scale projects and initiatives in a complex organization
  • Software Application Management Experience ? 3+ years
  • Engineering Systems and Technology Management ? 3+ years
  • Engineering Process Automation ? 2+ years
  • Background in designing, building and maintaining enterprise design and modeling environments
  • Experience supporting engineering design tools and enterprise systems
  • Experience in the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) industry
  • Extensive experience with Bentley ProjectWise
  • In depth experience with OpenText Documentum
  • Demonstrated success at defining business needs, conducting vendor analysis, and launching successful products
