As a Business Systems Analyst you will use your analytical skills to

Responsibilities

  • Work with business stakeholders and IT to design system solutions that will meet the business goals
  • Document business and detailed technical requirements including diagrams and flowcharts for developers to follow.
  • Overseeing implementation, coordinating testing and managing deployment and initiation of the system functionalities including performance and functional assessment.
  • Understand our business functions and processes and learn how data is used and flows across systems.
  • Analyze ERP Systems, design, troubleshoot system problems, document and implement software modifications to improve workflows and increase operational efficiency to meet corporate needs
  • Act as a subject matter expert in all areas of ERP software and provide assistance in system functionality, modifications, and day-to-day problem analysis, issue tracking, and resolution
  • Work with the project manager and IT team to identify and resolve issues and risks and help manage project scope.
  • Work with the enterprise architect and others to assess and evaluate new technologies to improve or replace automated business systems and their application and cost-effectiveness in addressing critical business capabilities.
  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of business applications and system topology so that you can solve business support issues or triage issues by determining what resources are required.
  • Create and execute re-usable test plans and cases that map to business and technical requirements.
  • Work directly with ERP software consulting vendors to identify software issues.
  • Perform other information technology and business analysis duties as required to support management concepts strategic priorities
  • Improve SDLC processes and artifacts (document deliverables) and help construct an IT knowledge base or document repository to facilitate support and future development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor?s Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in IT Business Systems Analysis.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite including MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio or other process/flow chart tool.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and how automated systems are applied to implement those principles.
  • Experience with MS AX Dynamics is preferred.
  • Ability to trouble shoot technical systems issues and identify specific solutions to be implemented by developers.
  • Ability to impact operations and effect change without being confrontational.
  • Ability and willingness to wear many hats from help-desk support to strategic planning.
  • Detail oriented, analytical and inquisitive.
  • Ability to work independently and with others.
  • Self-starter, self-organized with strong time-management skills.
