Human Resources Manager Full-time

$26.72 - $37.43 an hour

The County of Martin, MN, is accepting applications for a qualified person for the position of Human Resources Manager. The Human Resources Manager position responsibilities and duties include, but not limited to: Performs professional work in analyzing and administering the various components of the Human Resource function for the County. Assisting and working directly with the County Coordinator in the Human Resources function including manages and County's benefit plans including plan design, provider relationships, plan administration and plan communications, managing the maintaining the County's salary administration and benefit programs; serves as back up to payroll; assists Coordinator with union negotiations and contract administration and policy interpretation; coordinates the recruitment, selection and hiring process; development and coordination of the County's mandatory and supplementary training and development programs; consults with Department Heads on personnel issues; supports and enforces the County's safety programs, policies, and processes.

Qualifications of eligible applicants include (but not limited to): Two year degree in Human Resources or related field with at least 6 years of progressive human resources experience. Preferred qualifications: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Public Administration or related fields of study and at least 3 years of experience of progressively responsible for Human Resources Experience. Valid driver's license required.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities required, but not limited to, demonstrated experience which includes benefits administration, labor relations, compensation administration and recruitment. Knowledge of Human Resources management practices and procedures, payroll procedures and process, excellent communication skills, both oral and written, ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, labor unions and general public, ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
