About this job:
We are seeking a Head of Learning, Sales and Professional Skills in Houston, TX or London, England. The primary purpose of this role is to lead the Sales & Professional Skills Learning Centre of Excellence (COE) for the company. As the COE leader, responsibilities will include shaping and driving core learning and development strategies and processes to support employee performance, knowledge transfer, skill development and career pathing/progression. Specifically, this role will shape strategies to drive performance through all levels of Sales skills and Professional skills (to include, customer service, project management, business management, etc.). The ability to effectively manage stakeholders and build credibility with the leadership team is essential to success in the COE role.

  • Provide management, guidance and direction to develop learning and development strategies, programs, and experiences necessary to develop current and future sales and professional staff.
  • Drive collaboration across the Sales community within the company to ensure global solutions are developed and deployed wherever possible. Recognizing and accommodating specific business needs and differences, the COE leader will aim to align all areas of commonality and consistency where appropriate.
  • Manage and develop a high-performance development capability that scales with the growth of the business while exemplifying the values of the organization. This leader will develop an exceptional, credible, and global capability that is well connected to the business and in demand.
  • Set compelling goals and aggressive schedules for improving strategy, structure, people, technology and processes.
  • Able to scale processes in a large scale highly complex ?hands-on? organization.
  • Deliver results under pressure and with limited resources.

We?re Experts. You will have the following experience:
Education / Qualifications
  • Extensive experience leading teams focused on learning and development with change management and organization effectiveness capability a plus
  • Direct sales experience in a similar industry and/or company profile desired
  • Track record of working with and influencing at the c-suite level of the company
  • Experience and comfort leading geographically and culturally diverse teams
  • Master?s degree in business, human resources, or equivalent experience
  • English language mandatory, all other languages a plus
Professional skills / experience
  • Has experience consulting, designing and facilitating leadership, team and organizational effectiveness strategies, programs and processes
  • Is a change agent able to use a variety of change management plans and tools
  • Has designed capability or competency models and assessment tools
  • Development and implementation of highly effective learning solutions that are aligned to business strategy
  • Has a data-driven and practical approach with strong analytical skills and the ability to implement solutions and drive positive change
  • Has a deep understanding of how to design and execute a learning and talent agenda in the face of competition and market disruption
  • Exercises sound judgment ? able to diagnose root cause and apply critical and systematic thinking to solve complex problems
  • Has a demonstrated ability to construct and lead programs building from the ground up is critical
  • Has excellent people leadership skills; able to develop effective teams

  • Is an outstanding communicator ? able to communicate complex issues with clarity and ease
  • Is collaborative and demonstrates a strong commitment to organizational success
