Vendor Team lead Full-time

Overview of Role:

We are looking for a Sales orientated and target driven individual to help grow our vendor sales team. The Team Leader will have the responsibility to ensure a service-oriented and professional working environment by supervising the performance of team members and executing necessary actions for their motivation & team performance, along with building relationships with the current sales Managers & agents to help agents grow in confidence to sell vendor products.

What you will do:

  • A team leader has the responsibility to motivate and inspire the team to surpass their potential as much as possible.
  • Responsible for monitoring & providing feedback about the performance of the team, co-ordination of daily tasks & ensuring tasks are done in a timely manner.
  • Daily feedback to both the team & managers, in relation to departmental performance, admin etc.
  • Strive to improve turn time around on all vendor orders, quotes & queries.
  • Active communication with Contact Centre Agents & supervisors, providing input into training, coaching and support to the sales agents in all areas in order to develop communication & understanding of vendor process?s.
  • Maintain & grow relationships with our current suppliers.
  • Facilitation of communication cross functionally among the members of team and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Work towards meeting the departmental objectives, including sales targets, quality, KPI?s etc.
  • Promote an enthusiastic environment within the team, increasing motivation and results.
  • Ensure correct adherence to all internal policies and procedures at all times.
  • Conduct weekly team meetings.
  • Problem solving and incident management - act as first point of contact to identity opportunities of improving procedures and systems, make recommendations to senior management.
  • Weekly reporting on team?s performance and target management, ensuring that the team meet and exceed the targets as outlined by senior management.
  • Other duties may be added to this role at a later stage.

What we need from you:

  • At least 2 years proven track record within National Pen Ltd.
  • Team lead experience within National Pen preferable but not essential.
  • Good knowledge & experience of vendor orders & the process involved.
  • Excellent attendance record.
  • Ability to operate well in a call center team environment as a leader.
  • Natural flair for coaching, motivating, and interacting with people.
  • Knowledge of operating systems and tools.
  • Excellent administration skills with a high attention to detail.
  • High level of communication skills both Verbal & Written.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize work.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines & multi-task effectively
