SALARY RANGE: $18.18 Per Hour, Benefits per Union Contract
QUALIFICATIONS:
Successful work experience in a HR Department or similar position including specialized duties related to employment. Must be able to keep confidentiality, provide excellent customer service and accurate information about employment and HR processes and procedures. Able to effectively organize work load, multi task and be detailed oriented. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Programs, Excel, Word and Outlook and have experience working with HRIS software systems. Strong interpersonal and verbal communications skills and the ability to present correspondence or written documents that are clear, concise and grammatically correct.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position will be provide a helpful, welcoming environment for employees,volunteers and applicants coming or calling into the department by greeting and assisting them with their needs. They will meet with newly hired employees and assist them with the employment paperwork and fingerprint them. Tracks fingerprinting, returned intent letters or other required HR documents and follows up on missing paperwork. Organizes incoming transcripts, name changes and reports out on all processes. Prepares payments for fingerprints. Calls monitor substitutes and provide reports and may be asked to staff nursing positions when nurses are out on leave. Opens the department mail, copies PAFS (personnel action forms) and routes all mail including PAFs to the designated individuals for the action being taken. Submits and tracks nominations and resignations of coaches and advisors for all secondary schools, prepares board letters and contracts. Coordinates the hiring process from start to finish for teacher and para-educator substitutes, reviewing applications, posting and advertising and securing interview with Principals and Assistant Principals through to a timely hiring. Monitors and assists in the maintenance of Aesop employee and substitute information and provides reports. Assists all current and former employees with employment verifications and the Department of unemployment with employee information, verifying authorization of the employee for information given. All Human Resource office staff assists with new employee orientations, separations and benefit enrollment for all employees and assists other team members with the work in the department. Other duties may be assigned by the Human Resource Director or Supervisor.
