Business Development Manager Full-time

at Curtiss-Wright Corporation in Utah (Published at 08-02-2019)

Responsible for the assessment of cost/schedule performance of a relatively significant program or multiple programs in accordance with contract requirements and company policies, procedures and guidelines. This assessment would be in support of new business pursuit and production contract price justification. Expected to support proposal team as well as negotiations for awarded contracts.

Major Accountabilities /Deliverables

  • Defines, launches, and drives critical strategic initiatives in program cost and pricing development. Resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways.
  • Creates a method of change management including ownership of a documentation library, communication plans, process training, etc.
  • Responsible for complex proposal and cost development tasks and development of standards and processes for maintaining rates, cost actuals, basis of estimates, etc.
  • Understanding of TINA, DCAA, DCMA, DFARS standards as it pertains to defense/government program proposals and contracting.
  • Understanding of US Defense Acquisition strategy, funded programs and utilizing Government resources (FedBiz, etc).
  • Support of contract negotiation with respect to cost, pricing, and commercial pricing/IP rights.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Master's Degree preferred
  • 10-12 years' relevant experience in Project management, negotiation, transaction structuring, international transactions, strategic planning.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and knowledge of MS Ofifce.
