Fike Corporation, a rapidly growing international manufacturer of pressure relief, explosion protection, fire suppression and detection equipment, has an opportunity for a Materials Production Planner 1. Fike is a privately held business located in Blue Springs, MO with over 400 employees locally & over 1,200 employees worldwide.

Summary:

Monitors and evaluates inventory supply and demand and develops production schedules. Takes appropriate actions to ensure proper inventory levels are maintained to support materials, manufacturing, and customer requirements. Communicates across departments to manage inventory expectations. Requires individual to apply his/her knowledge of materials planning, production planning, operations, inventory, procedures, and processes to perform complex and diverse assignments.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviews, manages, and coordinates inventory supply/demand requirements according to the attributes of the inventory model, using Materials Requirements Planning, Resource and Capacity Requirements Planning.
  • Develops, manages, and coordinates production schedules.
  • Coordinates all activities associated with the generation and execution of orders for manufactured items.
  • Prioritizes and expedites orders and communicates possible problems to key stakeholders.
  • Analyzes and identifies forecast necessity, then develops and maintains appropriate forecast levels from order history and marketing/sales input.
  • Maintains inventory and planning fields in new and existing item master records.
  • Provides Materials Management support for New Product Development and/or Product Realization.
  • Works across the business to achieve Collaborative Planning, resulting in linkage with customers and suppliers.
  • Coordinates emergency (weekend/holiday) production between Sales, Manufacturing, Shipping and Maintenance if and when required.
  • Participates individually or within a team on special projects approved or assigned by the Inventory Manager.
  • Performs work according to Fike Corporation policies, procedures, and goals and according to the direction of the Inventory Manager.
  • Maintains the confidentiality of all information processed.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
  • Regular and consistent attendance is required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor?s degree in Business or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two years post degree experience in a Planning, Materials or Operations environment.
  • Knowledge and application of Manufacturing Resource Planning, Inventory, Bill of Material, Product Data Management, Purchasing, and Production Control concepts.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office Suite.
