Associate Director Full-time

at Kimi Nichols Center, Inc in New Hampshire (Published at 07-02-2019)

Position Summary:

Taking a senior role in the organization, the Associate Director provides operational leadership in the programmatic and administrative realms. Specific areas of responsibility include

organizational leadership and development, program development and implementation, as well as financial and administrative oversight.

The Associate Director reports to, and works closely with, the Executive Director, and has regular contact with clients, staff, parents and associated organizations such as residential programs and/or funding agencies.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Include but is not limited to:

Organizational Leadership and Development

The Associate Director plays a critical role in organizational leadership and development, including:

?Partnering with the Executive Director to monitor and evaluate organizational development

for continuous improvement

?Shaping and implementing organizational priorities and organizational infrastructure to support the realization of strategic goals

?Designing and facilitating organizational processes for strategic planning, budgeting and

review, employee evaluation and organizational learning

?Supporting the Executive Director to implement, monitor and evaluate institutional policies, strategic plans and systems

Program:

The Associate Director plays a vital role and works closely with Program Coordinator and the Executive Director to develop and realize programs.

Responsibilities include:

?Helping define programmatic vision and strategy

?Developing programs to increase community integration through employment and/or

volunteerism.

?Overseeing the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of programs in conjunction with

the Program Coordinator

?Managing and integrating programmatic learning across the organization

?Supervising day program staff in conjunction with program coordinator

?Ensuring effective due diligence and compliance with individuals goals and programs as

identified in service agreement

?Providing guidance and strategic direction for program performance and compliance

?

Finance, Human Resources & Administration

The Associate Director oversees all finance, human resources and administrative functions, including:

?Developing policies and ensuring sound procedures for fiscal control, risk management, contract and legal compliance

?Overseeing cash management and financial reporting to the Executive Director and Board of

Directors

?Overseeing recruitment and retention of program staff and consultants; managing

performance evaluation process;

Shared Responsibilities of All Team Members:

In addition to the essential duties and responsibilities listed above, key supervisory staff are expected to contribute to the following shared responsibilities:

?Participate in team planning processes

?Participate in team recruitment and evaluation processes

?Contribute to organizational and strategic planning processes

Qualifications:

Knowledge and Experience

?5+ years in senior non?profit management roles, including program and administrative leadership

?Proven organizational capacity builder

?Thorough knowledge and experience in the areas of non?profit fiscal and HR management

?Some experience developing financial reports and managing organizational budgeting

processes

?Practical experience of program planning and implementation

?Sound knowledge of program evaluation principles

?Bachelor?s degree or equivalent work experience

?Impeccable integrity, positive attitude, mission?driven and self?directed

?Fundraising experience a plus

Skills and Abilities

?Ability to think strategically, creatively problem solve, exercise good judgment and lead change

?Proven ability to work in a dynamic team and build strong working relationships

?Ability to flexibly share leadership and build consensus

?Ability to take initiative and make difficult decisions when necessary

?High level of written and spoken English

?Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills

?Excellent people skills

A successful candidate will have a personal vehicle, proof of 100,000/300,000 liability auto insurance, and a safe driving record. Candidates must have a clean criminal, and driving record in order to attain employment with KNC. A background check, and drug screening will be required for successful candidates seeking employment.
