Sales Engineer Full-time

Position Description:

We are looking for a seasoned, hardworking, smart and over achieving Sales Engineer with proven experience and a passion for selling technology solutions.

You will be responsible for working with indirect sales partners to help sell new customers as well as identify opportunities and solution for new technologies within existing customer bases, helping partners further monetize their relationships. The ideal candidate will be more of a SME in technology, (rather than an SE in a specific discipline), with the ability to have C-Level business and technical discussions around cloud, cloud enablement services (next gen connectivity), data, voice, contact center, data center, mobility and security. A broad understanding of today?s technology environment and cloud, as well as, traditional network and equipment is a must as your indirect sales partners will include traditional telecom agents, MSPs, VARs, IT integrators, professional services companies, and technology consultants. Measures of success include new customer acquisitions, up-selling, cross-selling, and contribution to overall sales team and business success.

Responsibilities:

  • Support indirect sales partners with solution selling and complex deal into new customers and prospect account base
  • Partner with sales partners to plan, prepare and execute on strategic deals in complex sales cycles
  • Model the financial business case associated with each sales opportunity
  • Successfully match customer requirements and business outcomes to proposed solutions
  • Create and deliver powerful presentations and demos that clearly communicate the uniqueness of the value proposition
  • Manage all technical aspects of RFP / RFI responses
  • Effectively communicate client needs to suppliers and work in a collaborative environment with our carrier and supplier resources (engineers, channel managers, product specialists, etc)
  • Develop training material and education programs for indirect sales partners which include public speaking engagements
  • Collect and document competitive intelligence

Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as a Sales Engineer in the networking and technology space
  • Proven track record selling complex enterprise solutions
  • Experience working in the indirect channel
  • Ability to build a strong rapport as a trusted technical advisor and develop long-lasting relationships with indirect channel partners
  • Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy to understand manner
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in Cloud (including but not limited to: IaaS, SaaS, PaaS, DRaaS, DaaS, UCaaS), Networking (MPLS, SD-WAN, etc) and Security
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation and creativity skills
  • Willingness to travel
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent
