The Oregon Department of Human Services , Office of Self Sufficiency Training Unit ONE permanent full-time Office Specialist 2 opportunity to join their team in Keizer!

What you will be doing:
This position provides direct support to the Self Sufficiency Training Unit team by providing clerical support. This position will assist with establishing and maintaining office administrative procedures and office functions.
  • Establish and maintain administrative procedures and reporting
  • Schedule meetings and conferences.
  • Prepare agenda and take minutes at various high-level meetings and distribute to appropriate groups
  • Prepare correspondence.
  • Organize and maintain physical and electronic filing systems
  • Work with trainers to order and assemble training packets, materials, and supplies
  • Other assignments as requested such as:
  • Create reports, charts, and graphs from data collection for presentation in classes, management meetings and conferences
  • Provide technical assistance to SSTU members; troubleshooting SRS board, Skype for Business, local printers, and software applications
  • Liaison / point-of-contact for the Cherry Avenue Training Center building facilities and staff cubicles;
    • log communications, requests, and expectations of custodial staff and building maintenance;
    • Monitor and schedule staff space and moves
  • Research and order AV, Computer hardware, software, and other supplies for training rooms, and unit staff.
  • Consistently treat customers, team members, stakeholders, partners, vendors, management, and coworkers with dignity and respect. Create and maintain a work environment that is respectful and accepting of diversity

WORKING CONDITIONS
Typical office environment. Occasional pressure to produce under severe time constraints. Frequent deadlines and pressure in meeting program training needs; occasional travel to conference and meeting sites. Will need to lift and move equipment using unit established safety procedures and with use of appropriate lift devises as available.

This is what you need to qualify:
Two years of general clerical experience, one year of which included typing, word processing, or other experience generating documents; OR

An Associate's degree in Office Occupations or Office Technology; OR

Graduation from a private school of business with a Certificate in Office Occupations or Office Technology and one year of general clerical experience.

College courses in Office Occupations or Office Technology will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Only candidates who meet the qualifications for this position and with work experience most closely meeting the requested skills of this position will be invited to an interview.
