Regional Sales Director Full-time

at SPH Analytics in Georgia (Published at 10-01-2019)


This position is responsible for promoting SPH Analytics and the sale of its healthcare market research and patient engagement products and services to healthcare payer prospects and established clients by achieving the sales goals defined and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. This position requires exceptional communication skills, strong attention to detail, healthcare business acumen and knowledge of the healthcare IT landscape, a customer-focused attitude, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high growth environment.

This position will report to the Vice President of Sales.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Territory planning, including identification and targeting of the Ideal Customer Profile
  • Pipeline creation through proactive prospecting (cold calling, networking, creative methods to meet with prospects)
  • Use marketing data to maximize sales effectiveness and efficiency
  • Strategic sales planning, including management of internal resources needed during each step of the sales cycle
  • Effectively design professional demonstrations or presentations of SPH products or services
  • Be the liaison between SPH and current and future clients regarding up-to-date pricing, service, and latest product release launches
  • Development and closure of sales into new business and existing accounts in order to meet or exceed assigned quota
  • Understand and continually educate yourself about SPH?s portfolio and value in order to effectively answer questions about company, products, services and pricing
  • Collaborate externally (with prospect/client) and internally with stakeholders across other departments to ensure the best possible outcome for the client and for SPH
  • Negotiate terms of sales and services with client
  • Enhance knowledge on new products, procedures, services and tools by attending departmental and training meetings
  • Maintain professionalism, diplomacy, sensitivity, and tact to portray SPH in a positive manner
  • Effectively attend conferences and trade shows
  • Follow SPH standard sales process
  • Use sales tools provided in order to produce timely and accurate sales forecasts and as a basis for pre- and post-sales planning
  • Utilize CRM tools daily
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of personnel within healthcare organizations, including C-suites

Required Skills, Education, and Competencies:

  • Minimum of Bachelor?s Degree or its equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years? experience of verifiable sales success in the healthcare market research and/or patient engagement industry
  • Understanding of and ability to articulate technical concepts
  • Ability to evangelize new concepts and be viewed as a credible thought leader by clients and prospects
  • Demonstrate a high level of autonomy and resourcefulness
  • Must be a self-starter, adaptable to new concepts and exhibit a strong initiative
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Ability to successfully manage and prioritize multiple projects
  • Must be self-directed, dependable and punctual
  • Possess a high level of professionalism and have excellent follow-through skills
  • Must be highly organized with a strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and decision-making under pressure
  • Must possess a strong business acumen and high level of confidence
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information
  • Proficient in Salesforce.com and Microsoft Office Suite

Minimum of 50% travel is required.

Location: Atlanta, GA or Home Office-based in Midwest
