Sales Engineer Full-time

About the Role

As a Sales Engineer at Clinc, you will play an instrumental role towards establishing trust and credibility with our customers by demonstrating our platform capabilities, articulating our technical differentiation, developing the overall solution, and presenting our deployment expertise. Your goal is to become the trusted technical advisor with customers, prospective customers, and partners. You will report to the Head of Sales and work hand-in-hand assisting the sales team towards meeting their objectives. Additionally you will be the main day-to-day interface between engineering, customer experience, and partnerships. Communicating customer requirements to and receiving technical training from these internal stakeholders are key success criteria for this role.

You?ll help our customers drive digital innovation by

  • Providing platform presentations and demonstrations (both remote and onsite)
  • Effectively differentiating the technical aspects of our solution versus competitors
  • Running technical deep dive and architecture sessions with customers and partners
  • Facilitating workshops to understand customer?s business and find the best use cases to apply Conversational AI
  • Scoping the work effort and requirements for Proof of Concepts, Pilots and Production deployments with customers
  • Translating customer requirements to our developer teams

You?re the innovator we need if you have

  • 3+ years of professional work experience, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a sales engineer or product management role
  • Computer Science background preferred,
  • Familiarity with the complexities of large integration projects, and a reasonable understanding of APIs and web hooks
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills and an ability to help customers find the right solution - not just the obvious or easy one
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, specifically Scrum
  • Must be able to function independently in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
  • Experience conducting workshops, training and consulting engagements
  • Experience and are comfortable presenting to C-level executives

You'll stand out from everyone else if you have

  • Familiarity with Python
  • Experience with conversational AI/chatbot software
  • Experience or training in modern sales methodologies
  • Financial, QSR, and/or Automotive industry expertise
  • Previous startup experience
